Hi, I'm Schuyler, co-founder of PRESH. More importantly, I am a father. Let me repeat that: I am a father. I emphasize the point of my gender because, when I realized I was going to have a daughter, I did what every soon-to-be parent does: I started nervously and joyously preparing. I went to numerous stores to do research on the various products available, read countless parenting books, consulted with friends and family who were already parents or were also expecting.
But the single aspect that struck me most throughout my preparation experience was the "mom-centricity" of the world of parenting. From diaper bags to furnishings, the selection of products and accessories catered predominantly to the female parent or the traditional mother-father nuclear family configuration. Where did that leave non-traditional families wishing to purchase a birth memory-book not replete with mother-father references?
PRESH was created with the purpose of assisting expanding families of all types. Taking my experience as a former film marketing executive, I wanted to create a service that incorporated an understanding of the heavy demands work can have on home life. In order to ease the transition into parenthood, I wanted to create a company that saved parents time and resources by providing pre-selected, ongoing research regarding the very best in product quality, features, and design. One of the most important aspects of the services I wished PRESH to provide was personalized customer service. PRESH seeks out unique, eco-friendly, diversified products of the highest standards and aesthetics to meet the needs of individual families.
Our goal is to recognize that today's family structures are continually changing and we aim to provide a service that allows all individuals (regardless of how their household is configured) to concentrate on the most precious aspects of their experience: the arrival of baby!
